"The
Hike"
Once upon a time, one cool spring morning,
three very adventurous girls decided to go on a hike. The three young
maidens were quite beautiful to look upon, so they felt they should protect
their beauty by wearing protection in the form of: jackets, hats,
bandanas, boots, glasses holders, and of course the ever-important Ninja
Turtle fanny packs. The three girls set out on their journey with
out any major catastrophes, quite a surprise for these three.
As they ascended the first hill, the oldest, Chrystal, felt her feet slide
from underneath her slim figure, and found herself at the bottom of a muddy
grassy knoll. Upon realizing the mud caked on her buttocks, Chrystal
became very ashamed, she did not want the other two fair maidens, Laurie
and Michelle to see the predicament she had gotten herself into.
Fortunately, as Michelle tried to make her way through the greenery, she
also found herself laying on her backside in the muddy grassy knoll.
As Laurie looked down upon the two other maidens and the fate in which
they had been so unfortunate to come, she found a better way down the hill
and met her two, now very muddy and very exhausted friends in the muddy
grassy knoll.
After noticing how famished her partners were, Michelle was very glad to
see that the contents of her Ninja Turtle fanny pack was still in tack,
and was able to treat herself and her friends to a small snack of
water, chocolate, crackers, peanut butter, fruit roll ups, pizza, sprite
(because the young Chrystal was allergic to such things as cola between
the very hours for which the journey ensued), bubble tape, pop quiz popcorn
from pop secret, Ouch bubble gum, and many other tasty provisions.
Once the girls had their fill, they were ready to resume their adventure.
All along the way, they found many interesting land forms, and took many
many many pictures of them, in order to always remember the day.
As they were walking through a creek bed, the girls came upon a very large
mountain and decided to take a chance and scale it. Once they reached
the summit, Chrystal became overly excited and began to dance around singing
and gyrating her arms about in strange movements never seen before by Michelle
or Laurie. Laurie was so upset that she had to hide behind a tree
while Michelle tried to coax Chrystal out from on top of the mountain.
After
what seemed to be 10 hours, they finally could resume their journey.
The girls hiked along dancing and singing until they heard a very loud
"BANG!" They did not know what the sound could be, and were
very much afraid that it would happen again. "BANG!" "BANG!"
"BANG!" "BANG!" Again and again they heard the strange noise,
they did not know what to do. Michelle and Laurie began crying while
Chrystal began formulating a plan. Chrystal decided (with factors
such as wind velocity and the earth's gravitational pull) that the shots
were directly southeast from the very rock upon which they were standing,
and if they continued in the same pattern, whatever strange monster was
making the noise would be upon them in no less than 4.25 minutes.
She decided to be brave and yell at the beast, "Stop, there are three beautiful
young maidens down in the muddy grassy knoll who are very afraid of the
noises which you are making, please stop." To which they heard a
reply, "Get off of my property!" The girls began screaming and running
until they realized there was no way out. Laurie and Michelle
began talking... "property... property... property" The word sounded
so familiar to them... what could it be? they pondered... some sort of
special president or governor? Or just another nonsense word??
Alas, they remembered, it was the name of a dictator in some far off country,
one with a very bad temper.. one that could only be calmed by the singing
of one particular song.... Unfortunately Laurie and Michelle had
forgotten the song! What would become of the three girls?
They knew they had to think fast.... so they bowed their heads and
began meditating....
"EUREKA! I remember the song! It was sung by a wonderful group...
ALL 4 ONE" ... Michelle began screaming in hysterics... "what's the song??
what's the song???" Chrystal and Laurie questioned simultaneously.
"I SWEAR!!!!!" Was the brave Michelle's
reply. So they all began singing the song... "I swear, by the
moon and the stars and the sky.. I'll be there...." On and on they
went... singing and walking, singing and walking.... it seemed to
be getting darker out.. but the bangs had stopped.. they had succeeded
in calming the beast! Now their only problem was getting out of the
muddy grassy knoll! As they pondered their fate, the youngest maiden,
Laurie came up with an ingenious plan... "Why don't we just go back the
way we came?"
And so the three young beauties did... climbing out of the muddy
grassy knoll, crossing the highway and running all the way back to the
safety of the castle. The girls decided right then and there that
they would never go on a journey again, at least not without a map!
And so they lived happily ever after!
